The Emir of Daura, Alhaji Umar Farouk Umar, is fast recovering and may soon be discharged.
Last week, he was rushed unconscious to the Federal Medical Centre (FMC)/Katsina after suffering from high blood pressure.
The Nation reports a video clip to have gone viral in Katsina, showing the Monarch, who was hospitalised at the Intensive Care Unit of the Federal Medical Centre (FMCA), acknowledging greetings from subjects and well-wishers.
Governor Aminu Masari had two days before the incident shut his palace to control the spread of coronavirus in the entire Daura LGA.

Residents of the area had also alleged the Emir’s sudden sickness and critical condition may have been influenced by the shutting down of his palace while others suspected symptoms of COVID-19.
Daura is an ancient city with great history and hometown of President Muhammadu Buhari.
