Pray Eid-il-Fitr At Homes, Emir Of Ilorin Orders Muslims In Kwara State

His Royal Majesty (HRM) Alhaji Dr. Ibrahim Sulu Gambari, the Emir of Ilorin, in conjunction with the Kwara State Council of Ulamau has ordered all Muslims in the state to observe their Eid-il-Fitr prayer (Nafilat) in their various homes.

The Emir who is also Amir Muslims of Ilorin added that the Muslims should only pray with their immediate family members, saying that members of extended family and friends should not be accommodated in the function.

Our sources told us through phone this morning that Emir declared that yesterday, 20, of May at his palace while addressing members of journalists.

Alhaji Abdul Razak Ambali told us that he thought the directives were in accordance with the state government despite the fact that the governor has not spoken on that.

“I wish all the Muslims in Nigeria, especially my people in Kwara State, happy Eid-il-Fitr in advance,” he said.

Another Muslim faithful from Oke Lele, Ilorin, Alhaja Ibrahim Fatimoh, called to say that the prayer is Nafilat that she thought it would not be a bad idea if it should be performed at home.

“All this is just for our safety. Long live Emir of Ilorin long live all Nigerians,” she said.
