The deputy national secretary of the All Peoples Congress APC, Victor Giadom has taken over as the acting national chairman following suspension of the national chairman Adams Oshiomole.

Giadom has also cancelled the APC screening in Edo governorship primary, he explained that he has taken over based on a previous court order empowering him to do so, saying he has the backing of member of the NWC of the party.
