Mr John Mamman, Special Adviser (SA) on Local Government, Chieftaincy Affairs and Community Development to Gov. Abdullahi Sule of Nasarawa state has been released by his abductors.
Mr Saidu Kurki, the Executive Chairman, Kokona Local Government Area of the state made this known in an interview with newsmen on Wednesday in Garuku community.
Mamman Kurki said that Mamman was released on Tuesday after four days in captivity and might go for medical check up soon.
“Yes, he has been released , it is true that he has been released.
“He is in Garaku, Kokona Local Government Area (LGA) right now but he may soon leave this place for medical check up,” the chairman said.
Recall this online news platform reported on april 4 that the Special Adviser to Governor Abdullahi Sule of Nasarawa State on Local Government, Chieftaincy Affairs and Community Development, Mr John Mamman, was abducted around 8pm from his home at Dari in the Kokona Local Government Area of the state.
It was reported no fewer than 10 unknown gunmen had stormed the SA’s house at about 8p.m. on that fateful day and abducted him.
When contacted, Mr Ramhan Nansel, Police Public Relations Officer (PPRO), Nasarawa State Police Command, was not available but promised to get back to our correspondent
However, as of the time of filing this report, the spokesman had not replied.
