The Association of Local Government of Nigeria, ALGON, has inaugurated 13 local government chairmen in Ebonyi state.
The State Governor, Francis Nwifuru, during the swearing-in ceremony on Sunday in Abakaliki, congratulated the chairmen and outlined a clear agenda focused on prioritizing stakeholders’ welfare to enhance service delivery.

Nwifuru stressed the significance of maintaining a symbiotic relationship among vice chairmen, executive assistants, stakeholders, and the people to achieve lasting democratic dividends.

Among the newly sworn-in chairmen was the ALGON Deputy National President and Chairman of Ezza North Local Government, Hon Moses Nomeh.
The event marked a notable compliance with the 1999 Constitution (as amended) and the July 11th Supreme Court judgment.

The ceremony drew a large crowd from all 13 LGAs, including stakeholders, National Assembly members, support groups, families, friends, and associates.
Notable attendees included the ALGON National delegation led by Hon Bawa Jaja, Kaduna ALGON Chairman, Ag DG Barr Evans Enekwe, and Deputy Director, Protocol/Public Relations Venatus Okafor.
