Amere Health Facility: Jema’a LG Chairman Harps On Communal Effort

The Chairman, Jema’a Local Government Council, Mr Peter Danjuma Averik says community Self Help Projects are very critical to solving infrastructural problems toward enhancing economic and general well-being of people in the rural communities.

Mr Peter Averik stated this during the inauguration of rural Health-care Facility at Amere community in Kaninkon Chiefdom, Kaduna State-Nigeria.

Mr Averik encouraged Communities in the area to always mobilise themselves through communal efforts with a view to meeting their critical developmental demands, noting that government has no financial capacity to address such deficits in all Communities simultaneously.

He commended Amere community for their foresight and effort in building the structure and promised that the local government would assist in equipping the facility to make it functional for the good of all.

Also speaking, the Director Primary Health Care Department of the LG Dr Mcderi Musa Ayuba expressed satisfaction with the development which he noted was commendable.

He advised Amere community to patronise the Health Facility and cooperate with the staff that would be posted to man the clinic when it commenced full operation.

Earlier in his welcome address, the Village head of Amere community, Elder Bako Danjuma explained that the resolve to construct the clinic followed the bitter experiences the sick and pregnant women often pass through before accessing medical attention several kilometers away from their community.

Elder Danjuma pleaded with the Council Chairman to complement the Community’s effort by equipping the clinic and make it functional to enable the Community and other surrounding villages to access prompt medical assistance, especially during emergency situations.

On their part, two illustrious sons of Amere community, Mr Bamas Bako and Jonathan Kolbe commended Mr Averik for his giant strides in Rural Development which they said had brought respite and improvement on the economic and social well-being of communities across the local Government.

In his goodwill message, immediate past Chairman, Miyetti Allah Cattle Breeders Association of Nigeria, MACBAN Jema’a local Government, Alhaji Bayero Babijo eulogised the administrative successes of the Chairman in the areas of health and peacebuilding and assured him of unflinching support of the Fulani community in Jema’a Local Government.
