EKO HOT BLOG reports that Willie Obiano, the governor of Anambra State, has won his local government area in the governorship election held on Saturday.

Governor Obiano, a native of Anambra East, won his LGA in the governorship election.
Recall that Willie Obiano was one of the first people to vote in Anambra State’s ongoing gubernatorial election.
Obiano was accompanied to the Otuocha Ward 4 voting station by his wife, Chief Mrs Ebelechukwu, where they both went through a quick registration process before casting their votes in the polling booth.
Overvoting was reported in roughly two polling units, according to Venatius Oke, a lecturer from the University of Calabar, who announced the results for Anambra East LGA.
He announced the results as follows
Registered voters – 98426
Accredited Voter – 14419
APC – 2034
APGA, 9746
PDP – 1380
