- Unknown gunmen have beheaded the commander of a vigilante group in Rivers State.
EKO HOT BLOG reports that gunmen have killed and beheaded the commander of a disbanded local vigilante group codenamed OSPAC.
The vigilante commander, it was gathered, was beheaded in Umudioga in the Emohua Local Government Area of Rivers State.
EKO HOT BLOG learnt that the vigilante commander identified as Alex Uwazuruike was killed after the gunmen stormed the Rivers community on Tuesday night.
It was gathered that the corpse of the vigilante commander was dismembered and burnt to ashes by the gunmen.

As gathered by EKO HOT BLOG, the tragic incident was confirmed by the spokesman of the Rivers State Police Command, Nnamdi Omoni, saying, “We have been able to restore normalcy to the area and our men are there.”
