- Some Yoruba Nation agitators dared the security operatives by spreading banners and flyers to announce their arrival and presence at the Gani Fawehinmi Park.
EKO HOT BLOG reports that gunshots have rented the atmosphere at the Gani Fawehinmi Park in Ojota, Lagos, the venue of the Yoruba Nation rally in the state.
This is coming barely a few minutes after the Lagos State Commissioner of Police, Hakeem Odumosu, addressed newsmen at the venue of the rally.
However, some Yoruba Nation agitators dared the security operatives by spreading banners and flyers to announce their arrival and presence at the Gani Fawehinmi Park on Saturday.

A few minutes later, gunshots rented the air as hot water from an armoured tank was also sprayed to disperse the Yoruba Nation agitators from holding the planned rally.
EKO HOT BLOG further gathered that some of the agitators were dragged into an armoured tank by the police operatives.
It would be recalled that the umbrella body of Yoruba self-determination groups, Ilana Omo Oodua, led by Second Republic Senator, Banji Akintoye, had earlier vowed to hold the Yoruba Nation rally in the state.
The group had made the vow after the Lagos State Police Command warned the agitators to stay away from the state or risk facing the wrath of the law.
