EKO HOT BLOG reports that the Olero, Dibi, and Abiteye Fields’ Itsekiri host communities, who also demand basic facilities and the hiring of VTP 5 and VTP 6 trainees, have forced Chevron to cease operations in Delta State.

They demanded portable drinking water, electricity, health care, a review of undergraduate scholarships, a review of community workers’ salaries, employment for graduates, the location of the vocational training center in Warri so that the VTP Program could resume, and the conversion of VTP 5 and VTP 6 trainees.
