A girl and her Boko Haram Husband have abandoned the Boko Haram camp and have surrendered to troops of the Nigerian military, EkoHotBlog has gathered.

The girl is a former student of Government Secondary School (GSS) Chibok, in Borno State, and her husband, a Boko Haram-ISWAP terrorist.

The student was among the over 200 kidnaped by Boko Haram insurgents seven years ago.

Recall that on April 14, 2014, Boko Haram fighters invaded the Borno school and abducted no fewer than 270 students.

The name of the student is yet to be published by military authorities, it was learnt that she and her husband forsook their membership of the extremist sect.

They surrendered and presented themselves to troops at an unknown location, within the Lake Chad region, sources said.

A credible intelligence source in Maiduguri told Newsmen that some other Boko Haram-ISWAP insurgents have willingly reached out to the military, demonstrating their intentions to surrender and lay down their arms.
