Ojodu Local Council Development Area, Lagos State, has donated three patrol vehicles to Ojodu, Area G and Pen Cinema police divisions.
EKO HOT BLOG reportd that it was a way of marking council’s Chairman David Odunmbaku’s 100 days in office.
Odunmbaku told the police to use the vehicles for the safety of residents.
The council chief opened the legislative building and outlined his HEYS (Health, Education, Youth/Women Development, and Social Infrastructure) agenda to develop the council.
The celebration featured distribution of school kits, presentation of cash to the elderly, widows and free health services. Odunmbaku said the council was focused on economic growth amid aftermath of the pandemic.
He said his administration would partner the private sector to deal with multiple taxation and documentation.

“Gone are the days the council chairman sits in the office and expect magic to happen…we are just coming out of COVID-19 pandemic and it’s time to bring the community together because we need one another. I’m aware as well that the private sector is going through a rough time, we can work together and make this easy for us.
“Our IGR has been decimated, we are not even been able to get 50 per cent of what we used to have and the public expects us to still carry on with our statutory duties.”
