EKO HOT BLOG reports that the latest figures by the Nigeria Centre for Disease Control (NCDC) confirms that Nigeria now has a total of 239,019 COVID-19 cases.
In its latest case update dated December 28, the NCDC reports 599 new cases with 1 COVID-related death.

The new cases were reported in 15 states – Delta (194), Edo (94), FCT (80), Kaduna (48), Lagos (35), Ondo (23), Kano (21), Rivers (20), Kwara (20), Ogun (18), Plateau (12), Abia (8), Cross River (8), Ekiti (6), and Bauchi (3).
According to the NCDC, no case was recorded in Osun and Sokoto States.
It was gathered that out of the total number of confirmed cases in Nigeria, 213,180 cases have been discharged while the death toll has risen to 3,027.
