EKO HOT BLOG reports that the latest figures by the Nigeria Centre for Disease Control (NCDC) confirms that Nigeria now has a total of 238,420 COVID-19 cases.
In its latest case update dated December 26, the NCDC reports 859 new cases with 2 COVID-related death.

The new cases were reported in 14 states – Lagos-555, FCT-57, Rivers-44, Plateau-43, Edo-1, Ondo-34, Kwara 23, Kano-18, Ogun-16, Enugu-11, Oyo-6, Delta-5, Bayelsa-3 and Bauchi-3.
According to the NCDC, no case was recorded in Anambra, Ekiti, Osun and Sokoto States.
It was gathered that out of the total number of confirmed cases in Nigeria, 212,770 cases have been discharged while the death toll still stands at 3,024.
