The latest figures by the Nigeria Centre for Disease Control (NCDC) confirms that Nigeria now has a total of 179,118 COVID-19 cases.
In its latest case update dated August 10, the NCDC reports 610 new cases with 2 COVID-related deaths.

The new cases were reported in 13 states – Lagos-281, Rivers-152, Akwa Ibom-85, Ogun-21, Oyo-21, Ekiti-14, FCT-13, Delta-7, Edo-6, Ondo-4, Bayelsa-2, Kano-2 and Plateau-2.
According to the NCDC, 0 cases were in reported in Kaduna and Sokoto.
EKO HOT BLOG gathers that out of the total number of confirmed cases in Nigeria, 166,131 cases have been discharged while the death toll has risen to 2,194.
