Governor of Lagos State, Babajide Olusola Sanwo-Olu has paid for the quarantine expenses of 51 returnees from Ghana and other West African nations.
Disclosing this via her official Twitter handle on Saturday night, the Chairman, Nigerians in Diaspora Commission, Abike Dabiri said the Governor paid for the 14-day self Isolation expenses in Badagry area of Lagos.
“39 returnees from Ghana plus about 12 more from other West African nations are now in Lagos,Badagry . They have begun their 14 day compulsory isolation . All their 14 day quarantine expenses paid for by @jidesanwoolu, Governor of Lagos State”, she tweeted.
Recall that the Federal Government issued an order that asides paying for flights, Nigerians in the diaspora who wish to return home due to the COVID-19 pandemic will now have to also pay for their two-week quarantine on arrival.

But a recent letter sent to stranded Nigerians says henceforth, they will pay their hotel and feeding bills during their mandatory 14-day quarantine on arrival.
It also revealed that persons who do not pay the fees will not be allowed to board the flight.
