#COVID19Nigeria: COVID-19 Cases In Nigeria Escalates To 22,614

Nigeria has recorded new COVID-19 cases with the NCDC announcing 594 infections, total now 22,614 in Nigeria.

Ekohotblog reports that the Nigeria Centre for Disease Control (NCDC) confirmed 594 new Coronavirus cases in a tweet on the micro-blogging site, Twitter on Thursday evening, June 25.

This online news platform understands that the NCDC noted that of the 594 COVID-19 cases recorded on Thursday evening, 159 were detected in Lagos, Nigeria’s commercial city, Delta-106 Ondo-44 FCT-34 Edo-34 Oyo-33 Kaduna-33 Enugu-28 Katsina-25 Imo-22 Adamawa-15 Ogun-12 Osun-11 Abia-8 Rivers-6 Nasarawa-5 Bauchi-5 Niger-5 Kebbi-4 Ekiti-3 Plateau-1 Taraba-1, northern Nigeria.

The NCDC tweeted: “594 new cases of #COVID19Nigeria; Lagos-159 Delta-106 Ondo-44 FCT-34 Edo-34 Oyo-33 Kaduna-33 Enugu-28 Katsina-25 Imo-22 Adamawa-15 Ogun-12 Osun-11 Abia-8 Rivers-6 Nasarawa-5 Bauchi-5 Niger-5 Kebbi-4 Ekiti-3 Plateau-1 Taraba-1 22,614 confirmed 7,822 discharged 549 deaths,”the tweet added.

However, Ekohotblog reports that the development means that Nigeria’s total confirmed cases of coronavirus have risen to twenty-two thousand six hundred and fourteen (22,614) with seven thousand, eight hundred and twenty-two (7,822) people discharged and five hundred and forty-nine (549) deaths recorded so far.
