- Group says The Looting Cabal Are Congregating Against Obaseki To Loot Edo State Treasury.
The Coalition of Intelligentsia for Rule of Law and Justice, of the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP-CIRLJ, has said that it is expected that political appointees who deliberately refused to align themselves with the uncommon socioeconomic remodeling and development of Edo State, under Gov Godwin Obaseki are expected to resign and join the leaders of the looting cabal in the opposition party, Adams Oshiomhole and Osagie Ize-Iyamu, as we approach September 19.
The group in a statement by its Executive Director, Legal Matters, Fred Latimore Esq and its Publicity Secretary, Joe Igiehon noted that the State Governor, Godwin Obaseki represents the progressives in the state who are working very hard to “Make Edo Great Again” while Mr. Osagie Ize-Iyamu and Adams Oshiomhole of the All Progressives Congress, APC, truly represent the interests of “political contractors and the looting cabal” who are scheming dangerously and rootlessly to grab Edo treasury for their private pockets.
The Scribes posited that Obaseki does not belong to the “share the money” political caucus and as such will never compromise his strength of character to satisfy the selfish and unscrupulous looting appetite of the tiny ruling class, adding that it is the majority of Edo people that suffer the pains of bad governance and mismanagement of state resources.

According to PDP-CIRLJ, it is expected that political appointees that came on board with the mindset of stealing government money to build mansions, hotels, petrol stations and procure limousines as can be seen from the lifestyle of Adams Oshiomhole and Ize-Iyamu, were disappointed when they discovered that Obaseki/Shaibu administration had put in place stringent measures for the monitoring and tracking of projects and government funds.
“Those resigning from Obaseki’s government are free to do so because the era of share the money is over. They are free to join the opposition party, APC, where they have been assured of free for all looting of government funds; but their evil gang up and congregation against the wishes of the majority of Edo people will not prosper. They shall fail woefully.
“As they resign from the progressive government of Obaseki to pitch tent with the share the money cabal, Edo people are aware, they are focused, prepared and will certainly do the needful by reelecting Obaseki/Shaibu for the continuity of uncommon socioeconomic remodeling and infrastructure development of the state.
“Gov Obaseki should remain focused, unruffled and very strategic with a high sense of humour and boldness, as we approach September 19 governorship election in the state. Oshiomhole’s strange and shameful reunion with Osagie Ize-Iyamu remained a mystery and it is only eligible voters in Edo State that can burst the coup against the looting cabal on September 19.
“Those who decided to join the looting cabal of the APC will at the end of the election come to the realization that darkness can never prevail against light, because God will fight for Obaseki and Edo people and the incumbent governor’s landslide victory shall be celebrated to the glory of God,” the group assured.
