It was David Henry Thoreau who said that if one advances confidently in the direction of his dreams, and endeavors to live the life which he has imagined, he will meet with a success unexpected in common hours. This axiom, simply put, encapsulates the life of Titilayo Oluwabunmi Ajanaku.
Today, the clock comes full circle once more for a virtuous woman whose imprint on all those fortunate to have encountered her on the highway of life has been awe-inspiring, to say the least.
Hers is a story of pertinacity and purpose, a story of piecing together the broken shards of human existence into a logical puzzle within the unpredictable quirks of fate. Hers is a story of living deep and sucking out all the marrow of life. It is a story of living so sturdily and Spartan-like as to put to rout all that was not life. It is a narrative of cutting a broad swath and shaving close. It is a story of driving life into a corner, and reducing it to its lowest terms.

Launching herself on every wave, she has, with every single stride proven that the most melodious of tunes are played with the oldest fiddle.
Born November 28, 1972 to Gladstone Ashley and Modupe Broderick in Lagos Island, Titilayo, as a young girl exhibited precocious tendencies that aptly served as a precursor to the greatness she would later achieve in life.

Her educational quest began at Clementina Ajigbeda Primary School Moshalashi, Surulere Lagos after which she switched to Marywood Primary School Yaba, where she obtained her First School Leaving Certificate.
She proceeded Marywood Girls’ College, Ebute Metta West. On completion of her GCSE O/Levels, she studied at DayRem Air Ticketing Institute in Surulere and obtained Proficiency in Air Ticketing Management.
She began her career in Air ticketing shortly after, and due to her exceptional performance, quickly rose to supervisory level.
Realising the need to utilise her capacity in a more productive spectrum, she took up an officer’s role with Lagos Island Local government, and, in a flash, secured team leadership in Revenue Section (Informal Sector).
Poised to make a difference in her new assignment, she defied the odds once more by changing the course of team unit reporting with her pragmatism, raising the bar and setting a new benchmark at a time little focus was placed on internally generated revenue.
Titilayo also shares a healthy enthusiasm for fashion, designing and styling. In her words, “design and style in fashion is a seamless endeavour for me and this is what I have always wanted to do”.

To live this passion, she proceeded to London and Rome to learn her tradecraft in Fashion Designing and Contemporary Styling. Returning to Nigeria, she started a designer label simply named “Bùnmi Ashley” in Abuja where she has serviced first-rate clientele since 2018.
Titi is married with adult children to a technocrat and British solicitor, Gbenga. They both live in the UK and Nigeria.
As the clock once again comes full circle on her profoundly impactful life today, Eko Hot Blog wishes her many more years of abiding peace and secure prosperity as she continues to leave firm imprints for the benefit of posterity.
