El Kanemi Warriors have been eliminated from the CAF Confederation Cup by Benin Republic’s Dadje FC.
Dadje FC secured a 2-1 win over El Kanemi Warriors today, advancing with a 3-2 aggregate score. The teams had previously played to a 1-1 draw in Ikenne last week.

El Kanemi Warriors, the winners of the Nigerian Federation Cup, had hoped to overturn their first-leg deficit after a narrow 2-1 defeat, despite a late equalizer.
This result marks the first elimination of a Nigerian team from a CAF club competition this season.

In other news, Benin Republic recently secured their first-ever victory over Nigeria’s Super Eagles in a 2026 World Cup qualifier. The two sides will face off again on September 7 in Uyo for the opening match of the 2025 Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON) qualifying tournament.
