EKO HOT BLOG reports that the Governor of Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN), Godwin Emefiele, has purchased the expression of interest and nomination forms to contest the presidential ticket of the All Progressives Congress (APC).

It was gathered that Emefiele picked the ₦100 million forms from the party’s organising secretary at the International Conference Centre (ICC) in Abuja, on Friday morning.

This puts to rest the speculations on his interest in succeeding President Muhammadu Buhari.

Emefiele joins the likes of former Lagos governor, Bola Tinubu; Minister of Transportation; Rotimi Amaechi; Vice-President Yemi Osinbajo; Governor of Kogi, Yahaya Bello; Governor of Ekiti, Kayode Fayemi; Minister of Labour, Chris Ngige; Governor of Ebonyi, David Umahi; among others who have declared their intention to run for the office of the President come 2023.
