Federal Government to Crack Down on Flight Delays and Cancellations

Eko Hot Blog reports that The Federal Government has said it will take action to address the frequent flight delays and cancellations that have plagued Nigeria’s aviation industry. Minister of Aviation and Aerospace Development Festus Keyamo said the government will examine the regulations on flight delays and cancellations and enforce them where necessary.

He also said the government will direct all airlines operating in the old terminal at the Murtala Mohammed International Airport in Lagos to relocate their check-in counters to the new terminal.

Keyamo’s announcement came during a recent visit to the airport. He said the government is committed to improving the efficiency and effectiveness of Nigeria’s aviation industry and that it will not tolerate the continued disruption of flights by airlines.
