Football World In Tears As Top-Class Star Dies

The football world is currently mourning the devastating death of Yeovil Town captain late Lee Collins who tragically died at the age of 32.

Late Lee Collins started his football career at Wolverhampton Wanderers and enjoyed loan spells at Port Vale, Northampton Town, Mansfield Town, FC Barnsley, and Forest Green Rovers after which he joined Yeovil Town in 2019.

Collins played his late fixture for the English Fourth Tier club against Stockport on February 6. Yeovil Town are yet to reveal the cause of Collins death, and were due to play a clash with Altrincham in the National League on Friday but the game was postponed.

“All at Yeovil FC are morning the loss of club captain Lee Collins,” Yeovil Town posted via Twitter.

” Lee sadly passed away yesterday and our thoughts and prayers go out to his family and friends.”

Collins who had been out of field on several occasions was battling with injuries, but later returned to the bench last week in Yeovil Town’s 3:1 victory over Barnet, EKO HOT BLOG  gathered.

English Championship side FC Barnsley said they would pay a tribute to Collins on Friday, as they host FC Reading in the English Championship.

Late Lee Collins was among Wolves team which included Wales goalkeeper Wayne Hennessey and midfielder Mark Davies that reached the semi-finals of the FA Youth Cup in 2005.
