Four persons on Friday sustained serious injuiries in a multiple auto crash in Igbariam junction, along Onitsha-Awka Expressway of Anambra State.
The accident, which occurred close to FRSC Nteje Unit Command at about 09.30am, involved two vehicles, a trailer, and a commercial bus.
EkoHotBlog gathered that the trailer which was heading towards Onitsha overtook wrongly and collided with the bus coming in the opposite direction.
Confirming the incident, the state, Sector Public Education Officer, Federal Road Safety Corps (FRSC), Pascal Anigbo attributed the cause to wrongful overtaking.

He said no death was recorded.
According to him: “One Mitsubishi L300 with registration numbers, AKU855YI and a Trailer, with registration number ENU228RA were involved in the crash.
“A total of Twenty (21) victims, made up of Thirteen (13) male adults and Eight (8) female adult were involved.
“The injured victims were rushed to Chukwuemeka Odemegwu Ojukwu Teaching Hospital, Awka for immediate medical attention, by FRSC rescue team from Nteje Unit Command.”
Anigbo hinted that the driver of the trailer has been handed over to the Nigeria Police Force, adding that the FRSC operatives were on ground to ensure obstructions were cleared.
“The Sector Commander Federal Road Safety Corps Anambra State, Andrew A. Kumapayi warns motorists against wrongful overtaking, over-speeding, dangerous driving and other activities that will endanger their lives and those of other road users,” he added.
