Gov Adeleke Gives Appointment To Puff-Puff Seller

Osun State Governor Ademola Adeleke has appointed a puff-puff vendor, Oluwatosin Adejumo, as a chef in the Osun State Government House.

EKO HOT BLOG reports that the governor had earlier made headlines when he surprised Adejumo during a rally in Osogbo by purchasing all her snacks for ₦50,000 and promising her employment. On Friday, he announced that the promise had been fulfilled.

“Today, I have kept that promise by officially presenting her appointment letter as one of our Government House chefs. Beyond this, I have also approved a scholarship for her up to the Master’s level, should she wish to further her education,” Adeleke said via his official handle.

Adejumo, who holds a Nigerian Certificate in Education (NCE) and has formal catering training, gained public attention after a viral video showed the governor buying her entire tray of puff-puff.

Meanwhile, Adeleke also celebrated the commissioning of the Osun Farmers’ House in Osogbo, a project originally initiated by former Governor Olagunsoye Oyinlola but left abandoned for years.

The governor described the reopening of the facility as a critical step in revitalising the farming sector and boosting Osun’s economy.

“This milestone shows how serious we are about meeting the needs of our farmers while driving transformation in every sector of our state. I sincerely appreciate the support from Osun’s farmers and reaffirm my pledge to revitalise agriculture as part of our larger mission to secure food for our people,” he stated.

The dual announcements highlight Adeleke’s approach of combining grassroots empowerment with infrastructural development, drawing attention to his administration’s focus on human capacity and economic growth.
