The Chairman of the Nigerian Governors Forum (NGF) and Ekiti State Governor, Kayode Fayemi, has stated that governors will take the COVID-19 vaccine on live television to demonstrate to encourage residents to follow suit, Eko Hot Blog has learnt.
Fayemi disclosed this on Friday while speaking to State House correspondents after a closed-door meeting with President Muhammadu Buhari where security, economy and vaccine management featured in the discourse.

He also said that the president has agreed to instruct the Presidential Task Force (PTF) on COVID-19 on the need to use influencers such as religious leaders, entertainers, and athletes to engender the confidence of citizens at the state and local level.
Fayemi stressed that this will help to address the cultural and religious concerns surrounding taking the vaccine.
