How Veteran Nollywood Actress, Musiliat Arikeusola Died In Osun On Friday

The Nollywood film industry is mourning again after losing another of its veteran actor.

The veteran actess identified as Alhaja Musiliat Arikeusola, popular known as Osuntohun has died on Friday morning.

Arikeusola became popular for her roles in late Yekinni Ajileye’s Koto Orun.

Apart from her appearances in Koto Orun, Aye Akamora, Koto Aye, all produced by late Ajileye, Osuntohun also produced movies like ‘Omi Ipin,’ ‘Imi Esin’ and ‘Ogun Omo Iya le’ which was her last work.

She died at the age of 67 in her house at Ijetu area, Osogbo, Osun State after battling with an unknown sickness.

Secretary of Theatre Arts and Motion Pictures Practitioners Association of Nigeria in Osun State, Ademola Adedokun, who confirmed the death of the thespian said she was a “passionate and committed actress who gave her best to the vocation.”

He added that she will be remembered for her motherly love and care.

Her death is coming shortly after another veteran actor, Jimmy Johnson better known as ‘Village Headmaster’ died at the age of 80 in an undisclosed hospital in Garki, Abuja after a brief illness.

Recall that another veteran Nollywood actress, Bose Adewoyin, better known as Madam Tinubu died on June 24 and was buried according to Islamic rites.

Other deaths that shook the Nollywood Industry are Chizoba Bosah, Bisi Komolafe, Patience Oseni, Motunrayo Adeoye amongst others.
