- Jandor’s Comeback to APC a Big Win for Lagos – Obasa
- Jandor commended President Bola Tinubu’s recent tax reforms, describing them as bold
- Both leaders concluded the meeting with a pledge to work together to strengthen the APC
The Speaker of the Lagos State House of Assembly, Mudashiru Obasa, has described the return of former Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) governorship candidate, Abdul-Azeez Adediran, popularly known as Jandor, to the All Progressives Congress (APC) as a significant boost for the ruling party in Lagos State.
Eko Hot Blog reports that Obasa hosted Jandor on Tuesday at his official residence in Ikeja GRA, expressed excitement over the development, noting that the APC remains the political platform that best represents the aspirations of Lagosians.

“We are happy to have you back. This is a very good move,” Obasa said, assuring Jandor of full reintegration into the party and collaboration in its collective pursuit of good governance.
The Speaker praised Jandor for what he described as an act of courage and conviction, stressing that the APC’s inclusive structure offers the right platform for unity, stability and development in Lagos.
In his remarks, Jandor thanked Obasa for the warm reception and pledged his commitment to working with the APC for the progress of Lagos State and Nigeria as a whole.

He also commended President Bola Tinubu’s recent tax reforms, describing them as bold, people-focused measures introduced despite strong opposition.
“It takes courage and leadership to introduce such reforms in the face of resistance. The President has once again demonstrated his resolve to put the people first,” Jandor said.
Both leaders concluded the meeting with a pledge to work together to strengthen the APC and enhance the welfare of Lagosians.
Jandor had in March officially announced his return to the APC after resigning from the PDP, citing indiscipline and widespread anti-party activities as his reasons for leaving.
However, his return has sparked controversy within the PDP. The Deputy Chairman of the Lagos PDP, Tai Benedict, alleged that Jandor was planted by the APC to destabilise the opposition party.
