EKO HOT BLOG reports that Alhaji Musa Gwadabe, a former Minister of Employment, Labour and Productivity and a prominent elder statesman, has passed away at the age of 86.

A close relative of the late minister, Nasiru Gwadabe, confirmed the news to the media and revealed that the funeral prayers for the deceased will be held at his residence off Maiduguri road in Kano at 2.00 pm on Wednesday.
Gwadabe, who served as a minister during the tenure of President Olusegun Obasanjo in 1999, was first appointed as the Minister of Solid Minerals Development before being reassigned to the Ministry of Employment, Labour and Productivity.

He was also the Secretary to the Kano State Government during the tenure of Late Sabo Bakin Zuwo and served on several boards.
Until his death, Gwadabe was a member of the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC) and the Board Chairman of the Industrial Training Fund (ITF). He is survived by 12 children, great-grandchildren and other relatives.
