“We can confirm that an agreement in principle has been reached with Super Eagles players, captain, Ahmed Musa MON and Shehu Abdullahi to join up with us for the 2024/25 football season. Both players have been included in the squad for our match against Sunshine Stars on Sunday,” reads a statement on the club’s official X account.
Ahmed Musa returns to Kano Pillars for his third spell, having previously played for the club in the 2009/10 season and again in 2021.

Meanwhile, Shehu Abdullahi rejoins Pillars for the second time after a brief stint in 2012. The versatile defensive midfielder has been without a club since January 2023, following his departure from Bulgarian side Levski Sofia.
Musa also ended his contract with Turkish club Sivasspor in February. During his first tenure at Pillars in 2009, he finished the season as the league’s top scorer with 18 goals, earning a move to Dutch side VVV Venlo.
