Lagos CP Speaks After Iyabo Ojo Led A Protest To Warn Police Not To Release Baba Ijesha

The Commissioner of Police, Lagos State, Hakeem Odunmosu has addressed the public after Iyabo Ojo led protest to Panti Police Station to warn the Police not to release the popular Yoruba Actor Olarenwaju James popularly known as Baba Ijesha that was accused of defiling a 14-year-old girl.

Commissioner of Police explained that there are two cases against Baba Ijesha, the first one was seven years ago, Baba Ijesha’s was accused of defiling a 7-years-old girl who is now 14-years but no complaint was made to the Police at that time.

Furthermore, he said the case they are treating against Baba Ijesha is the case of a video that went viral last week where Baba Ijesha was recorded with a CCTV camera touching a 14-year-old girl without her consent.

The CP added that no allegation of defilement was made against him when he interviewed the mother of the child.

CP said they have compiled the case and they have sent it to Director Of Public Prosecutions (DPP) department and chief Justice of Lagos State to seek legal advice on what police will do on this case.

He said Baba Ijesha is still in Police custody but the case is bailable,  EKO HOT BLOG  gathered.
