Lagos State Government is set to launch its e-Call Up System for the Lekki-Epe corridor on September 23, 2024.
This innovative system aims to streamline truck movement, reduce congestion, and enhance the overall traffic experience in the area.
The system will efficiently allocate resources and minimize waiting times for trucks, ensuring the smooth movement of goods and services.
To ensure a seamless implementation, officials from the Lagos State Ministry of Transportation, led by Commissioner Oluwaseun Osiyemi, conducted a thorough assessment of the traffic management plan.
They inspected the traffic situation and level of compliance within the Lekki Free Zone and Dangote Refinery Loading Area.

He also expressed displeasure at the sight of hundreds of recalcitrant truck operators refusing to access the loading bays provided, warning them of consequences for non-compliance.
The Permanent Secretary of the Ministry of Transportation, Olawale Musa, commended the government’s proactive introduction of the e-Call Up plan, especially with the management of a large number of trucks loading PMS from the Dangote Refinery.
The team also visited the LASTMA Impound Yard and the Naval Operating Base to ensure all aspects of the system are in place.
This e-Call Up System is a significant step towards improving logistics operations within the Lekki-Epe corridor, and the government’s commitment to ensuring its success is evident.
