Mahmuda Isah Sworn In For Final Term As Resident Electoral Commissioner

  • The Independent National Electoral Commission has sworn in Mahmuda Isah for his second and final term as a Resident Electoral Commissioner.

  • Isah, who holds a PhD in Petroleum Law, was first appointed in January 2018 and served in both Jigawa and Kaduna States before being redeployed to the FCT.

  • During the weekly meeting where Isah took his oath of office, Prof. Yakubu admonished him to be loyal to the Nigerian people and always abide by the provisions of the law.

EKOHOTBLOG reports that Mahmuda Isah was sworn in by the Independent National Electoral Commission on Tuesday, for a second and final term as a reappointed Resident Electoral Commissioner.

This information was disclosed in a statement released by Rotimi Oyekanmi, the Chief Press Secretary to the INEC Chairman. Following his service in Jigawa and Kaduna States, Isah has now been redeployed to the Federal Capital Territory.

Rotimi added, “Isah took his oath of office during the Commission’s weekly meeting, which has the INEC Chairman, Prof. Mahmood Yakubu, National Commissioners, and the Secretary to the Commission in attendance.
