Oyo State Governor Seyi Makinde has announced his annual leave.
Eko Hot Blog gathered that this announcement was made in a letter addressed to the state lawmakers.
The Governor’s letter was read on the floor of the House of Assembly by Speaker Adebo Ogundoyin during a valedictory plenary held in honour of Yetunde Awe, the retiring clerk of the house.
In his message, Governor Makinde also indicated his plan to transfer executive power to Deputy Governor Bayo Lawal, who will serve in an acting capacity during his absence.

Makinde’s leave will commence on August 5 and conclude on September 6.
During the plenary, the House swore in Mrs. Taiwo Muraina-Akinola, who previously served as deputy clerk, as the new substantive clerk.
