The Spanish newspaper “El Mundo” shocked the public on the 31st January after publishing details of the contract that Lionel Messi has with Barcelona.
“El Mundo” on the cover claims that there is a copy of the contract signed by Messi in 2017 and which is worth more than 555 million euros. This means that the Argentine earned 138 million euros a year.
As gathered by EKO HOT BLOG , Barcelona immediately announced and expressed regret that such information was published, given that it is a document that is a business secret.
Meanwhile, Messi is preparing a lawsuit against the “mole” who submitted the document to the mentioned media and his team of lawyers is already working on it.
Only five people employed by the club knew the details of the deal, namely Josep Bartomeu, Oscar Grau, Carles Tuskets and two other unnamed members of the club from 2017.
This situation only increases the chances of the Argentine leaving Barcelona in the summer as a free agent.
