The management of the prestigious Michael Otedola College of Primary Education, Noforija Epe, Lagos State, says it will resume academic activities on Wednesday, January 6th.
The development is contained in a statement signed by the college PRO, Mr Damilola Sanni, and made available to Ekohotblog.
The resumption date was part of the resolution reached during the management meeting held on Monday 4th January 2021.
The management, however, admonished members of staff and students to strictly adhere to COVID protocols in order stem the tide of the second wave of the pandemic.
The statement reads ” All students of MOCPED are to resume academic activities on Wednesday,6 January 2021. The decision for the resumption was reached at the management meeting held on Monday4 January 2021.
” It will be recalled that the Lagos State Government, at the instance of the 2nd wave of Covid-19 ordered the closure of all schools to Monday, 4 January 2021. However, in a release yesterday, the Government deferred resumption of schools below Tertiary Institution level.

“It is in this wise that the Management decided that academic activities should resume by Wednesday,6 January 2021.
” The management appeals to all and sundry to always use their facemasks and obey all other Covid-19 protocols “
