NCDC Records 49 New COVID-19 Cases

  • NCDC has recorded 49 new COVID-19 cases across the nation bringing the number of confirmed cases in the country to 165,468.

 

Nigeria has recorded 49 new COVID-19 cases on Monday, 10 May 2021, bringing the number of confirmed cases in the country to 165,468.

The Nigeria Centre for Disease Control (NCDC) revealed this in its daily report.

FCT with 27 cases recorded the highest, followed by Lagos-11; Enugu-8, while Oyo recorded 3 which was the lowest.

NCDC added that “discharges today include 5 community recoveries in the FCT managed in line with guidelines.”

Since the outbreak on February 27, 2020, a total of 2,065 persons have lost their lives to the virus while 156,318 have recovered and have been discharged.

In other news, a total of 1,697,243 persons have received the first shot of the COVID-19 vaccine.

The National Primary Health Care Development Agency (NPHCDA) disclosed this in its COVID-19 Vaccination Update for May 10th, 2021.
