The National Drug Law Enforcement Agency (NDLEA) has urged parents of children battling drug addiction to seek help at its nearest rehabilitation centres.
NDLEA Commander for Idiroko Special Area Command, Olusegun Adeyeye, made this appeal in Ota, Ogun, while speaking to the News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) on Monday.
Adeyeye stressed the importance of addressing drug abuse due to its harmful effects on individuals and society. He noted that the NDLEA operates rehabilitation centres nationwide to educate the public and support those affected.

He warned that rising criminal activities linked to drug abuse pose a significant threat to national security. Adeyeye called on citizens, including politicians and traditional rulers, to unite in combating the scourge of drug abuse.
“The fight against drug abuse requires cooperation from everyone to protect society,” Adeyeye said.
He also emphasized the need for stronger collaboration with agencies like the Nigeria Customs Service to curb drug trafficking.
Adeyeye reiterated the NDLEA’s commitment to tackling drug abuse and urged the public to play an active role in supporting this effort.
