On his part, NASENI’s Executive Vice Chairman/CEO, Mr. Khalil Suleiman Halilu, highlighted some of the agency’s flagship initiatives, including Revolut, a payment platform serving thousands of Nigerians with affordable real-time transfers; the Innovation Hub and Incubation Programme, which supports scientists and innovators; and Delta-2, a partnership with the Czech Republic, now entering its third phase to boost international collaboration.

Halilu explained that his visit to NiDCOM was to present two new projects: a government-backed multi-currency payment platform with real-time monitoring, and a diaspora-focused programme aimed at mobilizing Nigerian professionals in science, technology, innovation, and entrepreneurship to contribute to economic development.

He also stressed the importance of NiDCOM’s diaspora database in achieving these goals.

Both agencies agreed to set up a joint working committee to identify priority areas of collaboration, particularly in science, technology, engineering, and mathematics (STEM), as well as wider diaspora engagement.
