Nigerian-American, Osaremen Okolo Named Biden’s COVID-19 Advisor

Nigerian-American, Osaremen Okolo has been picked as one of United States President-elect, Joe Biden’s COVID-19 policy advisor.

Okolo was among 100 names announced as additional members of the White House staff by the Biden transition team on Wednesday.

Born to Nigerian parents, she currently serves as a Senior Health Policy Advisor at the United States House of Representatives.

She holds degrees in medicine and African-American studies from Harvard University where she graduated in 2017.

Okolo had worked as a legislative aide for health policy at the United States Senate prior to her appointment at the US House of Reps.
