Nigerian Immigration Warns Against Fake Recruitment Advertisements

The Nigeria Immigration Service, NIS, has issued a stern warning against fake recruitment activities being perpetrated by fraudsters.

The Comptroller General of NIS, Kemi Nandap, gave the warning in a statement on Wednesday in Abuja.

Nandap said that the individuals had been deceiving unsuspecting members of the public with false promises of employment opportunities within the NIS.

According to her, all recruitment exercises are conducted in a transparent, free and merit-based manner.

She further stated that the NIS remains committed to upholding the highest standards of integrity in all its operations.

“The attention of the NIS has been drawn to the alarming increase in fake recruitment activities being perpetrated by fraudsters.

“Vacancies are advertised through the NIS website, official government channels and recognised national newspapers.

“The NIS is working closely with relevant authorities to apprehend those involved in these fraudulent activities and bring them to justice,” she said.
