EDITOR’S PICK

Eko Hot Blog reports that the Northeast Women for Good Governance through their Chairperson Agnes Taru has call on the All Progressive Congress (APC) to pick Senator Binta Masi Garba as the Vice President of the party flagbearer Bola Ahmed Tinubu.

Speaking to newsmen on Monday, the Chairperson described the former Senator representing Adamawa North Senatorial District as Outstanding female politician in Nigeria who has stood against all odds for the success of the party from inception.

“Senator Binta Masi Garba is someone that respect all irrespective of sundry and have a good leadership skill. At the moment she is the best match for Tinubu, looking at how hard she work for the party as the Chairperson in Adamawa State which brought Governor, 3 Senators and 21 Members State House of Assembly. She is a capacitated woman”

She added that the party Presidential flag-bearer who was two term governor of Lagos is someone that supports women in politics and had female deputies during his tenure “Apart from Alhaja Sinatu Ojikutu, who was deputy to former Lagos State Governor, Micheal Otedola, from 1992 to 1993, the state has enjoyed having female deputy governors through Tinubu’s support. They include Sarah Sosan (2007-2011) Adejoke Orelope-Asefulire (2011-2015) and Dr. Oluranti Adebule (2015 – 2019)”.
