Nottingham Forest Manager Banned For Three Matches After Red Card

Nottingham Forest manager Nuno Espirito Santo has received a three-match touchline ban following his red card in last month’s draw against Brighton.

Midfielder Morgan Gibbs-White, who faced charges for his reaction to his dismissal during the 2-2 match, has been suspended for one game.

Gibbs-White received a second yellow card in the 83rd minute, leading to red cards for both Nuno and Brighton manager Fabian Hurzeler in the ensuing chaos.

Nuno has been fined £55,000, while Gibbs-White has been penalized £20,000. Hurzeler received an £8,000 fine but will not serve a touchline ban.

A Football Association statement, external read: “It was alleged that the Nottingham Forest head coach [Nuno] acted in an improper manner and/or used abusive and/or insulting words towards a match official.
