EKO HOT BLOG learned that the corps member suddenly slumped and was immediately taken to the camp clinic for medical attention. She was later referred to the Federal Medical Centre in Birnin-Kebbi for advanced care.
Despite the efforts of medical professionals to revive her, Ebal was pronounced dead.

The state Commissioner for Youth and Sports, Alhaji Muhammad Fingila, confirmed the incident to journalists in Birnin Kebbi. He stated that her remains had been transported to her home state, Adamawa, and extended condolences to her grieving family on behalf of the Kebbi State Government.
Describing the incident as deeply unfortunate, the commissioner expressed sympathy for the loss.

Efforts to obtain a statement from the NYSC Kebbi State office were unsuccessful. The state spokesperson, Mrs. Hadiza, did not respond to calls or messages seeking comments on the incident.
