He said, “My members are facing serious threats in Jos South, Jos East, Bokkos and Wase LGAs.

“With the help of security agencies, we were able to recover about 500 of our cows and returned to the owners in Wase. The cows were recovered from Biu and Gwujuba in Borno and Yobe states respectfully.

“Many of my members have fled Wase Local Government Area as a result of the threat to their lives and flocks, especially in Dogoruwa, Kimbi, Penau and Kampani-Zurak.”

He commended security agencies and pleaded for more efforts in Jos South, Jos East and Bokkos local government areas where his members face threats.

He also pleaded with the Plateau State government and federal government for the release of his members from the den of kidnappers.

When contacted, the Police Public Relations Officer, Jos Command, DSP Alfred Alabo said the command was not aware of the kidnap of herders.
