PHOTOS: Prominent Politicians Who Have Built Churches For God

It is said that politics and religion don’t mix. But Politicians who are Christians do contribute one way or the other to the churches that they attend.

As gathered by EKO HOT BLOG , Here are five prominent Nigerian politicians who have built churches for God in their communities.

(1) One of the prominent politicians who have built churches for God is former Senate president, David Mark.

He built a 3,000-seat capacity building for St. Augustine Catholic Church in his community Oturkpo in Benue state

David Mark, GCON is a retired Army Brigadier General and politician. He was President of the Senate of Nigeria from 2007 to 2015 and was the Senator for Benue South Senatorial District Benue State. Senator Mark is a member of the People’s Democratic Party, PDP.

(2) Another prominent Nigerian politician who built a church for God is former President Olusegun Obasanjo.

He built the church while in prison in 1995. The 1000 seater church known as Chapel of Christ the Glorious King was built within the Olusegun Obasanjo Presidential Library (OOPL)

Obasanjo was a former military head of and two-term civilian president of Nigeria.

(3) Also Senator Ifeanyi Ararume built a church for God. He constructed the church when he was APGA governorship candidate of Imo State.

The air-conditioned church building comes with fitted gadgets and sound systems.

(4 ) Former Governor of Edo State, Comrade Adams Oshiomhole marked his 69th birthday anniversary recently with a donation of a fully completed and modernly equipped Church to his local town of lyamho-Uzairue in Edo North.

The multi-million naira modern church edifice was dedicated to the St Joseph Catholic Church, Iyamho, by the celebrant himself.
