Recently promoted Assistant Inspector General of Police, Omololu Bishi has died of suspected COVID-19 complications less than a month after gaining promotion to the top echelon of the Nigerian Police Force.
The newly promoted AIG is said to have died following a brief illness, but EkoHotBlog gathered that his demise may not have been unconnected to complications arising from the lethal coronavirus.
Bishi, a Lagos indigene, had previously served as Benue State Commissioner of Police.

Bishi has also previously served as a one-time Divisional Police Officer, International Airport Lagos, Area Commander, Mushin Lagos, Deputy Commissioner of Police in-charge of Criminal Intelligence and Investigation Department Ibadan, Oyo State, Deputy Commissioner of Police in- charge of Administration, Ogun command as well as Commissioner of Police, Department of Administration, Force Headquarters, Abuja,”

As gathered by EkoHotBlog, Bishi was buried on Tuesday morning at the Ebony Vault in Lagos.
The late Bishi was among 13 AIGs appointed by the Police Service Commission (PSC) on December 18, 2020.
