The Nigeria Police Force had previously acknowledged the incident, with the Force Police Public Officer, Olumuyiwa Adejobi, confirming the identification of the officers and their attachment to Zone 2 Command, Onikan, Lagos State.
As part of a commitment to transparency, the command has invited the affected member of the public to come forward and contact the Zonal Police Public Relations Officer via GSM No. 08100025614 for further action.
The Assistant Inspector General (AIG) urged calm among the residents of Lagos and Ogun States, reassuring them of the safety and security of lives and properties as they go about their lawful businesses.
