Police Reportedly Kidnap Man, Demand Ransom

Operatives of the Nigerian Police Force (NPF) have been accused of abducting a traveler and forcing him to pay a ransom of N40,000 before his release.

The allegation was made by political analyst, Oluyemi Fasipe, who took to Twitter to narrate the occurrence.

He accused some policemen at Ekan Meje police station in Kwara State of allegedly kidnapping a traveler and forcing him to pay N40k ransom.

Fasipe alleged that the policemen kidnapped the Ondo State youth travelling to Ilorin and collected N40k as ransom before releasing him.

He revealed that the ransom was received into an account with the name Adeoba Isimioluwa Henry.

He tweeted; “Good morning @PoliceNG_CRU, Your men at Ekan Meje @PoliceNG station in Kwara State kidnapped an Ondo State youth travelling to Ilorin and collected 40k as ransom before releasing him.

“One Adeoba Isimioluwa Henry received the money. I demand immediate refund, cc:@OkasanmiAjayi.”
