Reaction As 13-year-old Igbo Boy Makes Formula 1 History Abroad

American Ugo Ugochukwu, a 13-year-old go-karting star, has signed a long term deal with McLaren.
He was born on the 13th of April 2007 in New York.
Ugo is the son of the famous model, Oluchi Onweagba

British racing team, MacLaren has singed 13-year-old Nigerian-American karting champion, Ugo Ugochukwu making him the first young Nigerian to be signed by the British racing team.

MacLaren will be hoping to see another or a better Lewis Hamilton from Ugochukwu as the same age Lewis was when he got signed by the racing team.

Ugochukwu has been described as the future and a revelation by Mc Laren. The young racer has won several national and international karting awards in the USA and Europe at large.

McLaren is known for scouting and picking young rising stars with Kevin Magnussen, Stoffel Vandoorne, Lando Norris and Lewis Hamilton were all products of their young driver’s program.

Ugochukwu’s achievement has caused several reactions on Twitter as his achievement is been attached to his root (Igbo), EKO HOT BLOG gathered.

History has been made as the 13-year old boy becomes the first Nigerian to win a world karting championship, and get signed by McLaren to race in Formula 1 when he grows older

Ugochukwu is the son of popular Nigerian supermodel, Oluchi Onweagba that once won the MNET face of Africa.
